Activity 2.2. Obtaining functionalized polysulfones/ derivatives cellulose composites/blends

Objective 3: Conformational characteristics of composites/blends based on functionalized polysulfones

Activity 3.1. Studies concerning conformational modifications of polymers with ionic charges in ternary system: viscometry, rheology  

Stage 2: 2014 

Objective 4: Characterization of composites/blends based on functionalized polysulfones films

Activity 4.1. Establishing the hydrophobic/hydrophilic balance by studying surface tension and free energies of hydration 

Activity 4.2. Determinations of absorption limits, the dielectric properties and conductivity in a wide range of frequencies and temperatures  

Objective 5: Optimization of properties in solution and solid state to obtain semipermeable composite membranes

Activity 5.1. Establishing of some additives for increasing performance of semipermeable membranes  

Stage 3: 2015

Activity 5.2. Finding optimal compositions of used blends, by optimization of the obtained properties, in order to achieve the bioactive membranes  

Activity 5.3. Manufacturing of some semipermeable membranes with controllable pore size; surface study by specific tests: microscopy and permittivity studies

Objective 6: Conformational characteristics in ternary systems based on functionalized polysulfones

Activity 6.1. Establishing specific interactions in multicomponent systems: functionalized polysulfones/derivatives cellulose/solvent  

Activity 6.2. Establishing specific interactions in multicomponent systems: functionalized polysulfones/polyvinyl alcohol/solvent  

Stage 4: 2016

Objective 7: Specific properties of composites/blends membranes for biomedical applications

Activity 7.1. Determining the water adsorption degree, compatibility of polymeric composites/blends with blood components, protein adsorption and toxicity tests 

Activity 7.2. Establishing the correlation between hydrophilicity and biocompatibility for specific applications  

Activity 7.3. Testing of antimicrobial activity of polymeric composites/blends using bacterial species (Staphylococus Aureus and Escherichia Coli)
